Former Descent is a new project by Bas Welling who created loads of chaos the past few years with his label Crackbeats wich has a focus on the extreme side of breakcore, noise and digital hardcore. Some might know him as Neurobit who released quit some 8 bit mayhem on labels like Enfant Terrible and vatican Analog over the years.

With Former Descent his music goes in a new direction, with strong influences by his aliases. The first track on this EP takes off with tunes that sound like breakcore, but don’t be fooled, when the track developes it opens up and it get’s quite catchy towards the end. A perfect intro for the second track, a dancefloor friendly electro experience with strong melodies. The 3th track has got a weird dubstep like broken beat with again suberb melodies and a phat acidic bassline. The last track end’s the EP in a beautiful ambient way with some crispy electronics on top.

This EP is not for the faint-hearted and shows anything could happen on the Shipwrec label.
